Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The corporate owner of the GameStop video gaming stores is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the two men responsible for an attack on an employee of the company’s store in northwest Rochester Monday night.

Rochester police today released information concerning the reward in hopes of gathering information that could help identify the two robbers. Police Captain John Sherwin yesterday said one of the robbers struck the 23-year-old worker on the head with a hammer before stealing about $1000 worth of merchandise from the business.

The victim suffered a serious head injury and required emergency surgery to release pressure on his brain. Following the operation, he was listed in critical but stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Anyone with information that could be useful in apprehending the robbers is asked to contact the Rochester Police Department.
