Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- The exit ramps at the I-90/Hwy. 63 interchange between Rochester and Stewartville are set to close on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says the closure is to accommodate crack and joint sealing on the bridge above the interstate. 

Crews plan to begin the work at 8 a.m. The closure is anticipated to end by 4 p.m., MnDOT says.

I-90 Exit Ramp Detour Planned for Crack & Joint Sealing Work at Hwy. 63 Interchange

MnDOT is advising motorists exiting I-90 at ramps 209A and 209B to plan for a detour. 

Hwy. 63 motorists traveling between Rochester and Stewartville are also being asked to plan for slow downs and watch for flaggers during the sealing work. 

MnDOT says the timeline of the work is weather dependent. 

34 Bridges Planned for Joint & Crack Sealing in Olmsted & Mower Counties

The sealing work is part of a larger project to seal joints and cracks on multiple highway bridges across Olmsted and Mower Counties. 

In all, crews will be sealing 34 bridges in the two counties. 

The only bridge and ramp closure associated with the work will be the Hwy. 52 and Hwy. 14 interchange in Rochester. 

MnDOT says the timeline for that closure will be announced at a later date ahead of the work.
