Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced for what police described as a burglary spree in northwest Rochester earlier this year that occurred while he was on probation for a previous burglary conviction.

Olmsted County Court records show that three felony criminal complaints were filed against Cole Conrad Uhde on his 23rd birthday.

Investigators Recovered Stolen Tools, Bike, and Handgun

In one case, he was accused of a residential burglary reported on April 9 at a home on 57th Street Northwest. The criminal complaint says a homeowner reported discovering that an e-bike valued at $2,000 had been stolen from his garage. The court document says police later found the stolen bike at Uhde’s residence.

The second criminal case stemmed from a search warrant executed during the investigation into the bicycle theft. According to the criminal complaint, investigators also recovered a power tool set and drill bits that had been reported stolen from another northwest Rochester home. The victim told police that he and his wife were sleeping when their dog alerted them. He discovered that the garage door to their home had been forced open and several items had been taken.

Uhde was also charged with the theft of a handgun and tools from a vehicle. The criminal complaint says the stolen tools were also found during the search of his residence, and a 9mm handgun was discovered in a backpack that Uhde was carrying at the time of his arrest.

Plea Deal Leads to 5-Year Prison Sentence

He was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property, and illegal possession of a firearm and/or ammunition. Under a plea agreement, Uhde entered guilty pleas to the burglary charges and illegal possession of a firearm.
