Rochester Cocaine Dealer Sentenced to More Than 9-Years

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A drug bust last year has resulted in a more than nine-year prison sentence for a Rochester man.

39-year-old Loc Huu Truong received the 110-month prison term yesterday in Olmsted County Court for his conviction on first and second-degree drug charges. He pleaded guilty to both charges last November.

The charges were filed against Truong last May following the execution of a "knock and announce" search warrant at his residence in the 4900 block of Castleview Drive Northwest. The April 29 raid by members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team resulted in the seizure of nearly 280 grams of cocaine and $2000 in cash. The criminal complaint states the cocaine was packaged in small amounts and the presence of a variety of paraphernalia was indicative of sales.

Court records indicate officers returned to the home on May 4 and made contact with Truong, who immediately "put his wrists out indicating that he knew he would be arrested."  Those records also show Truong has several other felony convictions for burglary and drug offenses.

A woman was also arrested at the residence in connection with the investigation. 39-year-old Susan Douangmichit received a sentence of two years probation for her involvement.
