Rochester Crash Victim Identified; Wreck Happened Monday
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The deadly traffic wreck that was discovered near Rochester Wednesday actually happened Monday night.
The body of 24-year-old Ambar Gaytan was found about 75 yards from her car, which had crashed down a ravine on the north side of Country Club Road, about a mile west of the former Meadow Lakes golf course.
Video taken from a nearby business shows her vehicle near the scene of the wreck around 9:00 PM Monday. Gaytan was reported missing Tuesday afternoon. Her body was found by the owner of the property Wednesday morning.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says it appears she crawled from the wreckage and eventually died from the injuries she suffered in the crash.Gaytan lived on Country Club Rd a few miles west of the wreck and was apparently driving home when she crashed. She was last seen at her home about 20 minutes before the wreck occurred.
