Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester businessman and former President of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce has been hired to serve as the interim president of Rochester Area Economic Development Inc.

A news release from the organization says a search committee of seven community leaders, including Rochester Mayor Kim Norton and Olmsted County Commissioner Ken Brown, recommended John Wade for the interim post after reviewing resumes and conducting multiple interviews.

“John has more than 25 years of experience in senior management and economic development work and brings a deep understanding of the community that will be vital to the successful interim operation of RAEDI,” said RAEDI vice-chair John Beatty.

Wade, who recently sold his ownership in Rochester's Clements Chevrolet Cadillac dealership earlier this year, is taking over for Ryan Nolander. He recently left RAEDI to pursue a commercial real estate opportunity in Rochester.
