Rochester Fire Department Wants to Hear From You
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -The Rochester Fire Dept. is working on a comprehensive strategic plan and wants to get input from the public.
The first of three scheduled public planning sessions will be held Tuesday.
According to Fire Chief Eric Kerska, “ The intent is to gain insight, from multiple perspectives, on opportunities for improvements and enhancements to RFD service, which will be reflected in a strategic plan.” Kerska says this will be the first time in over 25 years that the department completes a comprehensive strategic plan.
“We want to take a bottom to top review of what we do to serve the community and identify if there are things we can change to better serve the residents of Rochester,” Kerska stated. “It is vitally important for us to hear from the community and ensure we are providing the needed services.”
Kerska hopes the work will be complete and shared with the community by the spring of 2019.
All sessions will take place at the Emergency Operation Center, which is located in the lower level of Fire Station 2 (2185 Wheelock Dr. NE)
