Rochester Holding Open House Today for North Broadway Project
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The City of Rochester is hosting an open house today (Thursday) regarding the next phase of the North Broadway Ave. Reconstruction project.

The first phase of the multi-year project focused on the major road between Civic Center Dr. and the Silver Lake Bridge. Phase two of the reconstruction spans from the Silver Lake Bridge to the road’s intersection with Elton Hills Dr. Northwest.
The open house runs from 4-6 p.m. City officials say attendees will get the chance to view community-feedback-based updated construction plans, proposed construction staging and schedule and more. The event takes place at 125 Live at 125 Elton Hills Dr. Northwest and does not include a presentation.
Anyone unable to attend the open house can view the construction materials by clicking here. City officials say phase two construction is planned to start in April of 2024.
The goal of the project is to create dedicated facilities for pedestrians and bicyclists, upgrade transit facilities, improve traffic operation and safety, make the corridor accessible for all and to improve access to Silver Lake recreational opportunities, the project website says.
