Rochester Home Invasion Suspect Pleads Guilty
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the people accused of being involved in a home invasion earlier this year has worked out a plea deal with Olmsted County prosecutors.
19-year-old Nelson Soro entered a guilty plea to a 2nd-degree burglary charge on Friday and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 12th. In exchange for the guilty plea, six other felony charges are expected to be dismissed.
Soro and two other teenagers were arrested a few hours after a group of people with guns barged into a residence in the Eastwood Ridge apartment complex the night of February 7th. Rochester Police say a 19-year-old resident of the apartment told investigators he had lined up a marijuana purchase with Soro. One of the intruders hit a 20-year-old female over the head with a hard object and she was later taken to St. Marys Hospital to have her injury checked.
The cases against the two other people arrested with Soro and a fourth suspect arrested the week after the incident, are pending.
