Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - Another state trophy for the Rochester girls tennis program.

Clare Palen and Natalie Allison won the state doubles tournament Friday with wins over Litchfield 6-3,3-6,6-2 in the semifinals and Eveleth-Gilbert 6-3, 7-5 in the finals. The girls went undefeated all season.

Congrats to coach David Pettengill for another good run at the tournament!

In team play:

Blake won the Class A championship for the third consecutive season with a 7-0 victory over Holy Family Catholic. Blake also defeated Lourdes in the semifinals.

Edina bounced back after losing in last year’s title match to  beat St. Cloud Tech 7-0 to take home the 2017 AA trophy.
