Rochester Man Admits Breaking Woman’s Hip
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is scheduled to be sentenced in October for seriously injuring a woman who had given him a place to stay.
46-year-old Terry Hart has entered a guilty plea to a third-degree assault charge stemming from an assault that occurred in the victim’s home last December. He was accused of throwing the woman against a wall and then onto the floor, causing her to undergo surgery for a broken hip.
She told police Hart had been living with her for a few months and that she had recently begun to suspect he was stealing items from her. The assault took place after she spotted him with a box as she was preparing to drive him to work and discovered it contained several of her collector coins. The charges stated the woman told officers Hart then “went nuts.”
