Rochester Man Arrested, Woman Hospitalized Following UTV Crash
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says an early morning UTV crash on Friday landed a Lewiston woman in the hospital and a Rochester man in custody.
Captain Tim Parkin says deputies responded to the rollover crash at a private property in the 4,000 block of Maple Ct. Southeast. The crash was reported shortly before 12:30 a.m.
Parkin says the 48-year-old woman riding on the UTV, described as a side-by-side, suffered a possible broken leg and was transported from the property to a hospital. Her injuries are being described as non-life-threatening.
Deputies at the scene conducted a preliminary investigation and arrested the UTV driver, identified as 44-year-old Darren Cafourek. Parkin said Cafourek was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation and DWI.
The Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the early-morning rollover crash.
