
Rochester Man Hurt in Crash at Rural Intersection in Northern MN
Park Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man was transported to a hospital after he was injured in a traffic crash in northern Minnesota this morning.
The State Patrol says 74-year-old William Joseph Ryan was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee that collided with a pickup truck at the rural intersection of two highways in Hubbard County. The crash was reported just before 6 AM at the junction of Highway 64 and Highway 87 about 15 miles west of Park Rapids.
The preliminary crash report from the State Patrol indicates Ryan was driving north on Highway 64 and stopped at the intersection with Highway 87 while waiting to make a left turn onto westbound Highway 87. The collision occurred when the pickup entered the intersection and collided with his vehicle.
Ryan was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Park Rapids with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The 65-year-old Little Falls man driving the pickup was not hurt.
