Rochester Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Sexual Assault Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man charged with sexually assaulting two women has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in one of the cases.
Sentence Includes 10 Years of Conditional Release
The prison term was handed down to 28-year-old Adam Alrashid Hussein during a sentencing hearing this morning in Olmsted County court. He received credit for the 173 days he has spent in jail and will be on conditional release for 10 years after completing his prison sentence.
Convicted After Trial Held in April
Court records indicate that Hussein was convicted by an Olmsted County jury following a trial held in April. He was found guilty of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and one count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Criminal Complaint Details Allegations From April 2024
The criminal complaint in the case accused Hussein of raping a woman he met at a local bar in April 2024. The court document says the victim told police that she accompanied Hussein and a group of people to a house party after the bar closed and that she was sexually assaulted after he gave her a ride to her home in Byron.

Separate Case Involving Another Woman Remains Pending
Hussein is also accused of sexually assaulting another woman under similar circumstances in September 2023. The criminal complaint alleges the sexual assault occurred after the victim met him at a bar and gave him a ride home following a party at a house after the bar closed.
