Kellogg, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcycle crash in Wabasha County severely injured a Rochester man Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol responded to the crash at the intersection of Hwy. 60 and Wabasha County Rd. 13, which is about 10 miles west of Wabasha. The crash was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. 

Authorities say the motorcycle was traveling in the westbound lane of Hwy. 60 when it crashed. The driver has been identified as 30-year-old Andrew Clayton Knudson.

He was taken from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are being described as life-threatening injuries. The state report indicates that he was wearing a helmet and that alcohol was not a factor.

The report said the road was dry at the time of the crash. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Lake City Fire Department and Lake City Ambulance also responded to the crash scene.
