Rochester Man To Spend Many Christmases Locked Up For Abuse Case
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been given a lengthy prison sentence for his conviction of sexually abusing a young girl.
Sentenced Friday to 172 months behind bars was 61-year-old Wayne Bothun.
He was convicted of 1st and 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct in September.
Bothun was accused of abusing the girl from November 2017 to February 2018, when he was formally charged. The girl - who was under the age of 13 at the time - told a police investigator some of the abuse took place while the two were taking baths together.
According to the criminal complaint, “Bothun acknowledged giving victim several baths but denied any sexual misconduct.”
Jury seated to hear Kim Potter case.
