Rochester Man’s Plea Deal Results in Prison Sentence
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man with an extensive history of assault and drug-related convictions has been ordered to prison after working out a plea agreement to drug and sexual assault charges.
50-year-old Tracy Brooks appeared in Olmsted County Court on Monday and was given a 15-year prison sentence. He pleaded guilty in August to a first-degree drug sale charge connected to the traffic stop on May 1st, 2018 during police caught him in possession of over 30 grams of methamphetamine, 2.5 grams of cocaine, a couple of ounces of marijuana and various items associated with dealing drugs.
The plea resulted in the dismissal of two other felony drug charges, along with a 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct charge that was filed against Brooks in October of last year. In that case, he was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at a Rochester motel.
