Rochester Planning Commission to Review Miracle Mile Project
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester’s Planning & Zoning Commission has a full agenda for its Wednesday meeting.
It is scheduled to discuss three projects, including one involving the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.
The proposal calls for developing 3 ½ acres of the center to accommodate a grocery store, restaurant and other commercial space, along with a multi-family housing project containing 107 units. The developer says the first phase of the project could begin this year and include the southerly third of the shopping center. The developer says existing businesses affected by the project will be offered the opportunity to relocate to another site in the center.
Another project the commission will review is from the Stencil Group, which has been developing residential projects in the city. It is proposing to develop a multi-family project to be known as Eastgate Apartments at the Wicked Moose site. The project would consist of a four story, 144 unit complex.
The third project deals with a planned hotel and restaurant on the north side of the 16th St SW and Mayowood Road intersection.
The commission is scheduled to meet in the City Council chambers at 6 p.m.
