Rochester Police Arrest Thief Third Time in Three Days
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who kept police busy earlier this week was at it again Wednesday.
An employee of the GuestHouse Inn & Suites called Wednesday to report money was missing from the cash drawer. An officer checked the surveillance video and saw a man climb over the front desk counter, open the drawer, grab money and walk away. That was around 5:00 AM. The employee told the officer the man had been in the lobby before the theft occurred.
The officer identified the man as 40-year-old Justin Keltner. Patrol officers were not able to locate Keltner until dispatch received a call from another motel around 4:00 AM Thursday about a woman who was apparently having a medical problem. Officers arrived and also found Keltner with the woman. He may face a felony theft charge for taking $435 from the other motel.
Keltner was arrested Monday afternoon for stealing a purse from a car. He was arrested 12 hours later for stealing a woman’s phone and wallet from a local grocery store.
