Rochester Police Department is Looking For Your Feedback
If I've learned anything from my many years of athletics it is there is always room for improvement. The Rochester Police Department (RPD) is also looking to make improvements and have asked for our help.
In a news release this morning, the RPD announced they are taking part in a six question survey to seek feedback on how they are doing within our community. There are four other communities in Minnesota that are also participating in this survey. Those communities are White Bear Lake, Fridley, Wayzataand, and New Brighton.
So how do you provide your feedback? You can take this POLCO survey here. The survey will take you around five minutes to complete. They ask you to rate things in our community by checking the box you feel fits best. Some of the questions have to do with your interactions with RPD, while others are community issues that you feel need some help.
The survey will be opened until April 7th. Upon the close date, POLCO will review the results and put together the data for later review. The press release said the results will be shared at Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association Conference later next month.
Chief Jim Franklin from RPD is excited about this survey. Here is what he had to say.
“We are proud to be one of a handful of departments across Minnesota to electively participate in this exercise. Since I started in this role, I have been committed to actively engaging with our community and seeking input and insight on how we, as a department, can ensure we are not only meeting expectations, but exceeding them. This survey will help as we continue to gather feedback on what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve.”
This is a great opportunity for your voice to get heard about the community you live in.
