Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police say it appears a double shooting reported Wednesday night was an isolated incident.

Both victims are Rochester males in their late teens.

A 19-year-old was found with two gunshot wounds to the chest near Heritage Manor Apartments. He was reportedly in critical condition at last report.

A 17-year-old showed up at his mother’s house a short while after the first victim was found. He had been shot once in the right rear shoulder.

The shootings happened around 9:15 pm in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says it appears two small groups of people who know each other agreed to meet in the parking lot just before the shootings. Moilanen says it does not appear any of those involved lived at the complex.

Moilanen says it’s believed a vehicle in the lot was hit by a round as was one of the apartment buildings.

Moilanen says it remains a “very active investigation”
