Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Dept. now says the man arrested as the suspected gunman in a recent shooting outside the southeast KFC restaurant is believed to have been driving the getaway car.

Police arrested 20-year-old Luke Giwa and 28-year-old George Oliver last week. Oliver was the first to be arrested and police said he was the suspected driver of the car used in the shooting that injured two teenagers. Giwa was arrested two days later and identified as the shooter.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen said Tuesday “It is our belief that George Oliver was the shooter in this case and Luke Giwa was the person that aided Mr. Oliver.”

Oliver is facing two charges of 2nd-degree assault. Giwa has been charged with two counts of aiding and abetting 2nd-degree assault. Both remain in jail.
