UPDATE- Rochester Police say the owner has been in contact with Animal Control.

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a dog that injured a jogger over the weekend.

The Police Department Animal Control unit says the incident occurred Sunday at Quarry Hill Park around 3 PM. The male jogger was running west on the south side of the park when he came upon a group of women and a photographer taking photos of their dogs. All of the dogs were leashed, but one of them jumped up on the jogger and caused an injury.

A news release says, due to the nature of the injury, there is a need to check the dog’s vaccination records. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Animal Control unit as soon as possible by calling 507-328-6960 option 1.
