Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester motorists can once again use the stretch of 18th Ave NW that was shut down for construction work in early September.

The city Public Works Dept says the segment of the busy road between 50th and 55th streets will officially re-open to traffic Wednesday and remain open through April, when the major reconstruction project will resume.

The re-opening will also allow Rochester Public Transit to resume its Route 26. The Public Works Dept also notes Rochester Public Transit riders should pay close attention next spring as the project will again affect the schedule for bus stops in the vicinity of this project.

The project is scheduled to be completed by next October.
