Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Salvation Army staff and volunteers are busy this morning preparing to serve a traditional Christmas feast.

The meal will be served from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Salvation Army downtown Social Services Center at 1115 First Avenue Northeast. Following a longstanding tradition, all are welcome to attend for food and companionship.

“This holiday is truly at the heart of everything we believe at The Salvation Army, and we’re so excited to share in that celebration with our community,” said Major Cornell Voeller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Rochester, “This meal is for anyone in need of nourishment or companionship on Christmas. We want everyone to know they are welcome and we are happy to serve them.”

The meal will feature ham, scalloped potatoes, dinner rolls, vegetables, pasta salad, and homemade Christmas cookies.
