Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Another snow record for Rochester.

The National Weather Service says Rochester’s official snowfall on Sunday was 2.1 inches That easily broke the previous record of .4 inches that was set in 1981. A record 2.1 inches also fell Tuesday.

The monthly total of 4.2 inches makes this the 4th snowiest October on record.

Rochester will flirt with another record Tuesday.

The low temperature Tuesday morning is expected to be in the teens. The record low for Oct 27th is 13, set in 1936.

It will finally get above freezing Tuesday. The city’s official temperature fell below the freezing mark around 9:00 PM Friday and was still there Monday morning. A gradual warmup is expected by the end of the week with highs possibly climbing into the low 50s Saturday.
