Rochester State Senator Announces Reelection Campaign

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Republican Carla Nelson today announced her intent to run for reelection this year.

Nelson has represented a portion of Rochester and surrounding areas in the Minnesota Senate since 2011. She also previously represented Rochester in the State House in 2003 and 2004.

She stated today that she is running for reelection "because Minnesota needs leaders who will work across the aisle to get things done to make Minnesota a better place to live, work, and raise a family."

Senator Nelson currently chairs the Senate E-12 Education Finance and Policy Committee. She also serves on the Capital Investment, Finance, and Health and Human Services Finance and Policy Committees.
