Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A Rochester teenager was arrested Wednesday after police were told he had pointed a gun at some children and made a comment about killing one of them.

The incident was reported by a woman who lives near Elton Hills school.

She said her two grandsons were among those reportedly threatened by the 15-year-old boy. She told police the teenager had also been in a verbal confrontation with some other neighbors. Police were told the teenager pulled the gun from a backpack he had with him. When officers located him, he denied the accusations. Although no gun or bag was found, he was taken into custody.

Police were later told the same teenager had been involved in a suspicious incident Monday. A man told police he was at Elton Hills school with his children when the teen made a comment about how he “hated cops” and showed him a gun.
