Rochester Teenager Injured in Crash Near RCTC
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester teenager was injured in a two-vehicle crash on the east edge of Rochester Friday afternoon.
The State Patrol says 18-year-old Hailey Evans was driving east on Highway 14 when she attempted a left turn onto 36th Avenue Southeast and collided with a westbound pickup truck shortly after 12 noon. The site of the crash is just east of the RCTC campus.
The violent collision sent Evans to St. Mary's hospital to be treated for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The crash report indicates Evans was not wearing a seatbelt.
Officials say the driver of the pickup, 28-year-old Nicholas Jensen of Rochester, and his two passengers, ages 17 and 26, were wearing seatbelts and were not injured.
