Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman is accused of threatening a former neighbor with what the victim believed was a handgun.

Rochester woman faces two felony charges

61-year-old Colette Brenda Lee was arraigned in Olmsted County Court Friday morning on two felony counts of terroristic threats. She was released without bail following the court hearing.

Police respond to reported gun threat

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Rochester police officers responded to a northwest Rochester residence around 4:15 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report about a woman with a gun. The victim told officers he was inside his residence when the doorbell rang and someone began banging on the door.

The court document says the victim also told police that the person was yelling profanities and stated that she was going to kill him. He identified the woman as Lee and described her as a former neighbor.

The charges allege that when the victim went to the door, Lee pulled out what appeared to be a revolver and pointed it at him through the glass door while threatening to shoot him. The victim stated that he feared for his life and retreated into the house.

Police identify object as revolver-style BB gun

The criminal complaint says the responding officer located Lee outside a nearby residence and asked if she had a firearm. The officer indicated that Lee told him it was a plastic gun and that it was in a bag on the ground next to her feet. The officer then located a revolver-style BB gun inside the woman's purse.

Woman Told Police She Was Going to "Have It Out With Him."

The court document says Lee admitted going to the victim's home to "have it out with him," but she denied displaying the BB gun. She also claimed that the victim had called her earlier that afternoon and threatened her, but the arresting officer was unable to find any evidence of the call when he examined her phone and reviewed her phone logs.
