Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been sentenced to five years on probation for her role in the theft of thousands of dollars from a person with Alzheimer’s disease.

51-year-old Jennifer Krahn earlier pleaded guilty to a single count of Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult. She and her husband were charged last summer with taking about $30,000 from the victim’s bank account over a two-year period while the victim was living in a local senior care facility. The criminal complaint against the couple says police were contacted by a family member of the victim who was suspicious of the couple, who had authorization to oversee the victim’s financial affairs.

Krahn will also be required to pay restitution, but the amount has not been determined.

Her husband, Michael Krahn, is currently scheduled to stand trial in July.
