Anyone interested in either Rochester's history and/or aviation should enjoy an event that is scheduled to take place Wednesday evening at the Gray Duck Theater in Rochester.

Local historian Lee Hilgendorf, who is a semi-regular guest on the Rochester Today Show with Andy Brownell, has put together a fascinating and entertaining presentation on the rich history of aviation in the Rochester area. Lee has gathered some marvelous photos from the History Center of Olmsted County and other sources that will be displayed and accompanied by stories about the early airfields, aircraft, and aviators that operated in the Rochester area.

He shared a few of those stories with listeners to News-Talk 1340 KROC-AM and 96.9 FM during a recent appearance on Rochester Today including this one.

The program, hosted by the Gray Duck Theater, the History Center of Olmsted County, and the Rochester Posse, begins at 6 PM Wednesday, March 4th. Admission is $5. The Gray Duck Theater is located at 619 6th Avenue Northwest in Rochester.
