Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A member of the Rochester City Attorney’s Office was recognized as a 2019 DWI Enforcer All-Star.

Michael Spindler-Krage, a City of Rochester teammates in the City Attorney’s Office, was honored as a 2019 DWI Enforcer All-Star after leading the criminal division of the City Attorney’s Office that prosecuted approximately 400 DUIs in 2018. Spindler-Krage was honored at the Minnesota Twins Baseball game on July 18th and was one of the 43 members of law enforcement from across the state named to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s 2018 DWI enforcer All-Stars.

Spindler-Krage was the only prosecutor from greater Minnesota named as part of the 2018 DWI Enforcer All-Star, and City Attorney Jason Loos said that it was a well-deserving honor for Spindler-Krage and the entire team.

“Michael oversees the criminal division of the City Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the state DWI task force and has prosecuted thousands of DWI cases over his career. This recognition is much deserved for Michael and the entire criminal division team.”

According to the Minnesota public safety department, the number of Minnesotans cited with drunken driving has declined by 20% over the past decade. But after hitting a 10-year low in 2016, the number of arrests ticked up to 26,825 last year, an average of three arrests every hour.
