De La Rosa (10-6) allowed one run and six hits in winning his fourth straight and reaching double-digit wins in a season for the fourth time in his career. He benefited from a power surge that has seen Tulowitzki hit three homers and Stubbs two in their last two games.

The Rockies also benefited from the return of star outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, who missed the previous 35 games because of a benign tumor on his left index finger that had to be excised surgically.

Kris Johnson (0-1), recalled from Triple A Rochester on Thursday, gave up five runs on eight hits in four innings.

Game two this afternoon at 3:10 with Kevin Correia scheduled to pitch for the Twins.  Pre-game coverage begins at 2:40 on 1340 KROC AM.

Nats lose game and All-Star hurler...Cards continue Brewers misery

UNDATED (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies' fifth straight victory was a double loss for the Washington Nationals.

First, the Nationals lost the game 6-2 as all-time Phillies hit leader Jimmy Rollins homered twice. He drove in three runs. A.J. Burnett held the Nats to one run on five hits in his seven and two-thirds innings.

Maybe more disturbing for Nationals fans was the loss of All-Star pitcher Jordan Zimmermann. He left abruptly in the middle of the fourth inning, suffering an apparent injury. Zimmermann called the Nationals training staff out after throwing a pitch to Cameron Rupp with one out in the fourth. Nationals manager Matt Williams said Zimmermann complained of a cramp in his bicep. He's scheduled for an MRI on Saturday.

Williams said Zimmermann, who was picked to participate in his second straight All-Star game on Tuesday, probably will not make the trip to Minneapolis.
