RPU Warning Rochester Residents of Another Scam

Unfortunately, the calls can't be stopped, but we can all be aware that they are happening. RPU shared on their Facebook page a warning about another scam. This one seems to be aimed at small businesses. Regardless, we should all be on high alert when we receive a phone call from someone claiming to be an RPU rep. This isn't the first time that scammers have done something like this, and it definitely won't be the last.

The person on the line claims services will be disconnected if you don't pay your bill immediately. RPU asks that if you receive a call of this kind, do not share any personal information. Hang up and call RPU directly: 507-280-1500.
