Oshkosh, WI (Learfield News Service ) - A second Minnesota resident has died after a seaplane crashed last week while leaving the Experimental Aircraft Association show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The EAA said Thursday that Ray Johnson of Marshall died at a hospital on Monday.

The crash also killed 71-year-old Diane Linker of Sauk Rapids, and a third person escaped with non life threatening injuries from a crash that happened last Thursday night as the seaplane was heading back to Minnesota.

Winnebago County sheriff's officials say the craft, piloted by Johnson, took off in choppy waters, and it barely gained altitude at 80 miles-an-hour when it might have hit a large wave before flipping.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
