Moving On: Southeast Minnesota Section Hoops Quarterfinals Set

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- 16 teams have punched their tickets to the Section 1 Girls' Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals.

There were 16 games across southeast Minnesota Thursday night as the Section 1 tournaments got underway in earnest in classes 1A and 2A.

The higher seed took 14 of the 16 games. The two upsets belonged to the 10 seed in the Section 1 2A tournament Chatfield Gophers and the 9 seed Kingsland Knights in the Section 1 1A tournament.

Section 1A and 1AA Quarterfinals

The Section 1A and 1AA Quarterfinal games will take place on Feb. 26 and Feb. 28 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. The win-or-go home matchups will be played in the Mayo Civic Arena and Mayo Civic Auditorium.
