Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the public entrances to the Olmsted County Government Center will be permanently closed to the public later this month.

A statement issued by the county says, beginning November 20, the lower level access doors to the Government Center will be locked to non-employees. The affected doors are on the west side of the building under of the Zumbro River Skyway. County officials say the lower level access doors have proven, over the years, to be a point of concern for visitors, vendors, and employees.

The change will leave for public entrances to the Government Center. In addition to the Skyway entry, nonemployees can also enter the building at the Law Enforcement Center entrance, the center main entrance, and the northeast entrance in front of the City Council/County Board Chambers.
