Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There was a traffic mess in Duluth Wednesday caused by a semi-truck that apparently lost its brakes.

The Minnesota State Patrol says several vehicles had stopped for a red light at the intersection of Highway 53 and the northbound I-35 exit ramp. The truck was on Highway 53 and approaching the intersection when the big rig struck a total of five vehicles. The Patrol says four people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The wreck happened around 3:30 PM and affected traffic for about four hours.
