Separate Crashes in Minnesota Kill 1 and Critically Injure 2
Undated (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol today reported one person was killed and two other people suffered life-threatening injuries in three separate crashes.
The fatality occurred just before 6 o'clock Saturday morning on a highway in northwestern Minnesota. The State Patrol says a 39-year-old man from Colorado was killed when the car he was driving went into the ditch along a highway west of Park Rapids, vaulted into the air after hitting a driveway approach, and then rolled. The victim's name has not been released.
The State Patrol says a 56-year-old Monticello man suffered life-threatening injuries shortly before 12:30 Saturday afternoon when the SUV he was driving drifted into the ditch and rolled multiple times along eastbound I-94 in Wright County. The crash site was between Monticello and St. Cloud near Clearwater. Michael Scott was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in the Twin Cities.
A Minneapolis man was critically injured around the same time in a rollover crash in western Minnesota. The State Patrol says 69-year-old Ross Lovaasen was a passenger in an SUV driven by 73-year-old Tim Lovaasen of Bloomington that crashed along I-94 about 15 miles northwest of Alexandria. The driver was taken to a hospital in Alexandria with non-life-threatening injuries.
