Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News)  - A St. Paul man has been sentenced in Olmsted County court for convictions stemming from a serious injury traffic crash last year. The crash occurred in October of last year when 26-year-old James Morseth attempted to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed in a no passing zone.

Morseth, his passenger, and the other driver were all listed in critical condition when they were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital following the crash. When deputies later went to the hospital to arrest Morseth, he had already left and it took over a year for him to be located and apprehended.

Morseth later pleaded guilty to three felony counts of criminal vehicular operation and was sentenced yesterday to 33 months in prison.
