Sheriff’s Office Closes Investigation Into Rochester Man’s Death
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office today announced the closure of the investigation into the death of a Rochester man earlier this year.
39-year-old Wade Andrew Gordon Junior was reported missing on July 8 and was last seen leaving his place of employment in Byron on July 7. 10 days later, his body was discovered in a water retention pond located near Byron City Hall.
A statement from the Sheriff's Office says investigators worked diligently to learn as much as possible about the facts and circumstances surrounding Gordon's disappearance and death. An autopsy was conducted by the Southeastern Regional Medical Examiners Office, but due to the condition of his remains, the forensic examinations were not able to determine the cause of his death.
In closing the investigation, the Sheriff's Office indicated no foul play is suspected and the cause of Gordon's death will be listed as undetermined.
