
Shooting in Northeast Minnesota Leaves Man Dead, Deputy Wounded
Gilbert, MN (Learfield News Service) - The Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports one person is dead and a St. Louis County deputy is injured after an exchange of gunfire.
The Friday afternoon officer-involved shooting happened in Gilbert. The deputy and a Gilbert police officer were looking for a person whose name was on an arrest warrant. The man jumped out of a car and started running away, exchanging gun shots with the deputy and police officer. The suspect was dead at the scene. The deputy's injuries are not life-threatening.
