
Rochester Firefighters Rescue Person Who Fell Over Silver Lake Retaining Wall
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- First responders rescued a person who fell from a retaining wall near the Silver Lake Dam in northeast Rochester Monday night.

Rochester Fire Department Captain Isaac Molin said members of the fire department, the Rochester Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded to the scene.

Person Falls Down Retaining Wall Near Silver Lake Dam in Northeast Rochester
The majority of the emergency vehicles were gathered on the southern side of the lake, near the intersection of North Broadway Ave. and West Silver Lake Dr. NE by 7:45 p.m.
Preliminary reports from first responders indicated the person fell about 12 feet.

Molin said the individual was located along the lake shore in close proximity to the dam. Firefighters pulled the patient up the embankment using what Molin described as a “low angle rope operation.”
The person was transported from the scene by ambulance.
