Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Parts of southeastern Minnesota received some much needed precipitation overnight.

The heaviest rains fell in the Wabasha area, where nearly 3 inches was reported by the National Weather Service. 1.75 inches of rain was recorded at Lock and Dam 5A in Winona and about an inch and a half was reported in the city of Winona.

Over 1.3 inches of rain was reported near Austin while just under 1.3 inches fell near Chatfield and there were several reports of rainfall totals around an inch to an inch and a quarter in the Rochester area. There was a report of .9 inches of rain in High Forest Township, all want to do that to near downtown Rochester, just over a half-inch fell at the Mayo One Helipad on top of St. Mary's hospital.
