
Southeast Minnesota Motorcycle-Deer Crash Sends Man to Hospital
Rushford, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital after striking a deer in Fillmore County Thursday evening.

The State Patrol responded to the collision shortly before 6:30 p.m. It happened at the intersection of Hwy. 43 and Fillmore County Rd. 27, which is just north of Rushford.
The state crash report indicates the motorcycle was traveling south on the two-lane highway when it hit the animal. The operator has been identified as 33-year-old Ian James Bottorff of Winona.
He was brought from the crash scene to a hospital in Winona with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. Bottorff was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the collision, the report says.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the Rushford Police Department and Rushford Fire Department also responded to the motorcycle-deer collision.
