St. Charles Man Accused of Filming Woman With Hidden Camera in Her Bedroom
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office has charged a St. Charles man accused of filming a woman in her bedroom with a hidden camera.
That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court earlier this week. The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office started the investigation this past May.
The complaint says the woman noticed the camera pointed at her bed on May 8. She reported finding the camera screwed into a space between the bedroom’s wall and an unfinished ceiling after hearing it make a noise that sounded like running water.
The woman and her mother told law enforcement they suspected 47-year-old Daniel Wade Wood of placing the camera in her bedroom, the court document says.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for Wood’s phone and found several images on it that appeared to be screenshots of images captured by the hidden camera. The complaint says the victim appears to be naked or barely clothed in all of the images found on Wood’s phone.
The screenshots were taken between April and May of this year, the complaint says. Wood has been charged with a gross misdemeanor count of interfering with privacy at home.
He’s due to make his first appearance in the case in December.
