State High School Baseball Tournament Starts Today

Undated (Minnesota News Network) -- The 2015 Minnesota State High School Baseball Tournament gets underway this morning at three sites in three separate classes.

Mounds View is the top seed in Class 3-A, St. Cloud Cathedral is the No. 1 seed in Class 2-A, and New Life Academy sits atop the Class 1-A seed chart.

The Class 3-A tourney will be contested Thursday through Saturday at CHS Park in St. Paul. The 2-A championship tournament is taking place in St. Cloud. And, the Class 1-A field will play at the Mini-Met in Jordan.

Here is the schedule of opening round games on Thursday in the 2015 Minnesota State Baseball Tournament:

Class 3-A First Round (Thursday): Northfield vs. Mounds View, 10am (St. Paul)
Class 3-A First Round (Thursday): Lakeville North vs. Anoka, 12:30pm (St. Paul)
Class 3-A First Round (Thursday): St. Michael-Albertville vs. Chanhassen, 3pm (St. Paul)
Class 3-A First Round (Thursday): Mahtomedi vs. Robbinsdale Armstrong, 5:30pm (St. Paul)

Class 2-A First Round (Thursday): St. Cloud Cathedral vs. Cloquet, 10am (St. Cloud)
Class 2-A First Round (Thursday): Glencoe-Silver Lake vs. Marshall, 12:30pm (St. Cloud)
Class 2-A First Round (Thursday): Rochester Lourdes vs. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, 3pm (St. Cloud)
Class 2-A First Round (Thursday): Minnehaha Academy vs. Providence Academy, 5:30pm (St. Cloud)

Class 1-A First Round (Thursday): New Life Academy vs. Red Lake County, 10am (Jordan)
