State Patrol IDs Two Minnesota Men Killed in Separate Crashes
(KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the names of two people killed in separate traffic incidents Tuesday night.
One of the victims was a 19-year-old man from the Grand Rapids area. The State Patrol says Carter Haithcock of Goodland was fatally injured around 11:20 PM on Tuesday when he was struck by an SUV while he was walking in the traffic lane on Highway 169 in Nashwauk. The Grand Rapids woman driving the SUV was not hurt.
The other fatality occurred about three hours earlier in Chanhassen. The State Patrol says 33-year-old Thomas Trotter of Bloomington was killed when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the back of an SUV at a busy intersection along Highway 5 in the southwestern Twin Cities suburb.
In both cases, the State Patrol says it's unknown if alcohol was a factor.
