
State Trooper Hurt In Crash In Faribault

Faribault, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minnesota State Patrol trooper was hurt Wednesday after his vehicle was hit by a car in Faribault.
The accident happened around 8:30 pm along I-35, near the Highway 60 exit ramp.

The State Patrol report says a car driven by 18-year-old Kasey Kropp of Inver Grove Heights was headed north on the interstate when it collided with the trooper's vehicle.
The accident report identified the trooper as 51-year-old Travis Boetel of Rochester. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Kropp was not injured.

State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson says the accident report was modified to say:
Trooper Boetel was on the right shoulder with his emergency lights activated assisting with a vehicle in the ditch. The Acura lost control and struck the left side of the squad car.
